Crisis

On November 8, 2013, Typhoon Haiyan (Yolanda), the strongest tropical cyclone ever recorded, made landfall in the Philippines. The storm caused massive devastation across the Visayan Islands, killing at least 6,300 people and affecting more than 14 million, many of whom were left homeless.

  • Humanitarian flights between Manila and Tacloban
  • Donation boxes onboard all AirAsia flights and at AirAsia airport counters
  • Fund-raising website at airasiafoundation.com
  • Contributions from AirAsia business partners and affiliates
